The prognosis of colon cancer – Is there one?
Cancer is a very sad and painful subject to talk about, especially if you or someone you know is interested. There are so many types of cancer today is that sometimes it is very difficult to say which is more devastating. All forms of cancer, whether it is cancer of the lungs, liver, neck, or other organs in our body, share a similar characteristic – ie, they are all deadly diseases, and the last discovered and treated, the greater the chance for recovery and survival. In this context, colon cancer is no exception. In fact, the prognosis of colon cancer is highly dependent on stage of cancer when diagnosed and treated.
Colon cancer is the third most common cancer and second leading cause of cancer deaths in the USA cancer.
